In Case Of A Gang Rape, Medical Corroboration Not An Absolute Necessity: MP HC Denies Bail Despite The Fact That Victim Married Accused

The Madhya Pradesh High Court noted in an order that in cases of Gang Rape, medical corroboration is not an absolute necessity. The Bench of Justice Akhil Kumar Srivastava made this observation while hearing an appeal filed under Section 14-A of the SC & ST Act against the impugned order dated 09.06.2020 passed by the Special Judge, S.C./S.T Act, Jabalpur, whereby the court below had refused to grant bail to the accused.
