We wish and pray that you and your loved ones remain safe and healthy during this difficult time.
We hope you found our ALO -COVID 19 Response – 1 useful and satisfactory.
The Indian Government, in an attempt to curb the spread of COVID-19, announced a nation-wide lockdown for a period of 21 days. Subsequently, at the end of the 21 days’ lockdown period, the India’s Prime Minister announced that the fight against COVID-19 is not yet over. It was also announced that the rate of infection of COVID-19 in India is relatively low, even when compared to fully developed nations. This is mainly due to the nationwide lockdown and strict practice of social distancing. Keeping this in mind the nationwide lockdown has been extended until 3rd of May 2020.
This revision in the period of the nationwide lockdown has necessitated various bodies of the Central, State and UT Governments to pass appropriate orders, circulars, directions, memoranda and advisories to ensure that not only are all the previous orders and directions being followed, but also to issue fresh ones. These notifications cover all business segments, including the legal and judicial framework. As this extended lockdown period ends, the States and UTs may be extending it further and the Indian Government too is adapting to the mounting economic and social hardships during the lockdown.
To help you and your business navigate the challenges inflicted by this pandemic driven government measures, ALO continues to share a collection of resources that you may find useful.
