Amit has over 14 years of exposure and hands-on experience in dealing with the nitty-gritty of valuation of real estate properties, businesses/ equity for private ventures as well as for public enterprises for purposes like Transactions – Sale or Purchase, Dispute Settlement- Commercial/Family/ Matrimonial, Compliances – FEMA, Transfer Pricing or requirement of RBI, Indirect Transfers.
He has served several reputed multinational corporations and offshore consulting firms.
Amit has vast experience in valuing real estate assets including valuation of land, commercial office projects, residential housing projects, malls, Special Economic Zones, industrial & commercial buildings, hotels, hospitals and civil infrastructure.
He has undertaken more than 100 valuations engagement and valuation review of real estate properties across asset classes in India.
His expertise also includes the valuation of financial instruments/ derivatives like SOP & ESOPs, preference shares, debentures etc., and intangible assets like Brand, copyright, customer contract, customer relation etc.
He is an IBBI Registered Valuer and an alumnus of India’s biggest valuation team at one of the world’s Big4 consulting firm “Ernst & Young” where he managed the north India’s real estate valuation team.
He is a commerce graduate from University of Allahabad (also known as Oxford of East) and a fellow member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India. He is also a bachelor in law (LLB) from prestigious Law Centre-I of Law Faculty of the University of Delhi.
Amit is also a visiting faculty at School of Finance, Indian Institute of Corporate Affairs, run by Ministry of Corporate Affairs, Government of India.
Amit’s idea of valuation is much more beyond just number crunching. He believes that valuation is a logical, defendable process of arriving at the opinion as to the worth of a business/ business interest given the information available, assumption & limiting conditions as on the valuation date.
